On the 7th of October Kosovar Youth Council successfully held "Young, Wild and Innovative". This event addressed the issue of youth employment in ICT and the Youth Guarantee Scheme. It started by an opening speech of Ms Krisela Hackaj, Executive Director of the Institute for Cooperation and Development (CDI) and Mr Ditjon Fetahu, Project Manager at KYC.
The first panel consisted of representatives from the Ministry of Labour, Finance and Transfers, Ms Mirjeta Nagavci, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, Mr Vedat Jashari and from the RKS Employment Agency Mr Fadil Osmani who discussed with the participants the scheme and the work of each institution they represent respectively. This panel, in addition to informing, assured also that the scheme will be guided and a reflection of the market demands.
The second panel had a different spirit where personal experiences were shared from the selected panelists in the field of ICT. Aurora Kingji, Gonxhe Sylaj, Armend Berisha, Blerta Thaçi and Ergon Berisha inspired with their success stories and guided the participants by showing their professional journey in this field.Thanks to the experience and expertise shared, young people are now more informed about the platforms and networks in this field.
“Young Wild and Innovative” event represents a starting point for our partner, KYC in which they will work on advocacy and implementation of activities that target such a problematic issue as the employment of young people in the Republic of Kosovo.
