On 16 September a Civil Society High-Level Conference was organised in Prague under the title: Youth Policy in the Western Balkans –An essential element for the future of the region and Europe.
Our partner, Filip Kulakov representing the National Youth Council of North Macedonia joined the discussions on the importance of Regional Cooperation among young people of the Western Balkan.
After the visit, he mentioned that he felt honored to speak in a dual role on youth policy in the Western Balkans and in EU accession processes at the European Economic and Social Committee and Regional Cooperation Council’s Western Balkans Civil Society High-Level Conference.
“I proudly presented the successes and efforts in regional cooperation, on behalf of both the National Youth Council of North Macedonia and the Connecting Youth platform. Young people in our region, time and time again, have done our homework and have shown that our participation in policy- and decision-making processes brings positive developments and results to our countries and region, yet we are hardly given a seat at the table when important discussions take place, especially in regards to the EU accession process” said Mr Kulakov.
The young people of the WB6 believe that the more they cooperate, the more certain is that their generation will lead the region’s path to the EU. While they also expect EU support with concrete actions on the other hand.
