What should the future of education look like?

Should education be led by the economy and the labor market?

What young people are facing nowadays is a limited market. In the case of Montenegro, the market is tight and therefore based on the needs not everyone should get a university degree. There should be more people specialized in certain professions.
In Montenegro, due to the economic problems and the low standard of living, we only "export" the workforce, it would be necessary to "import" it as well.
All this definitely burdens the education system, causes high living costs, and in return, society does not benefit.
As the majority of youth goes (mostly) to public schools and as known the state structures are not as advanced as they should be, this leads to a mismatch of the needs of the labur market. A solution to this problem must be an emergency.
According to the general opinion of young people, education does not meet their expectations, they also doubt the abilities of the academic personnel. The decision-makers who run the educational institutions are chosen on different grounds, and definitely not on the basis of their own knowledge and personality, starting with the heads of schools and ending with department heads in the ministry.
Dialogue between youth organizations and institutions exists, but it has not yet been brought to an appropriate level that would produce results.
Connecting young people within youth organizations and connecting the organizations themselves with decision-makers should be one of the top priorities.
More active young people are needed, to be involved in social processes, and different initiatives. While on the other hand, decision-makers must create a system that will enable the knowledge and creativity of young people to be the measure of their success. Young people want to be involved in policy designing and to be part of tables that count.
